Seriously. Listen to this song and tell me it doesn't feel like a deep tissue massage for your soul.
I also feel soothed by Brian Stokes Mitchell's voice and french fries and diet cream soda and thunder storms.
What soothes your soul?

That's a happy owl.
ReplyDeleteMy music soothes me, but I'm sure most wouldn't find metal soothing.
Isn't that owl great? And hey, whatever works :)
DeleteAlex - when I was pregnant with #2 son, I listened to a lot of hard rock. After he was born, that's the music that would soothe him to sleep!
DeleteA deep tissue massage for the soul. Love that!
ReplyDeleteA big bowl of guacamole usually makes me pretty happy. :)
Oooh, now that sounds delicious!
DeleteHow wonderful you like that music. I am a huge fan of barbershop quartets and a capella groups - the University here has a number of a capella groups that are really talented and I try never to miss a show.
ReplyDeleteLobster and pizza make me happy, as well as being on or in the ocean.
The owl was very endearing!
Ooh, good ones! I love university quartets :)
DeletePeaceful music, especially early music. A sunny, but not hot, afternoon by the sea, especially in the tea rooms on the cliffs at Sorrento back beach in Victoria. A book in my hand as I late to the waves. A thunderstorm - if I'm safely inside and in bed and know I don't ave to be up in half an hour to go out into it. Or just rain on the roof. Some of my most peaceful, soothing afternoons have been spent out on my patio typing my latest bit of fiction with a steaming mug of coffee to hand while gentle rain fell on the roof...
ReplyDeleteOh these are perfect!! Love rain storms too :)
DeleteI love music, but if I'm really stressed, going outside and listening to the wind in the trees, or the sound of the sea (if I'm stressed enough I need to travel to the coast), always calms me down.
ReplyDeleteAh yes :) My mom always feels best on the beach.
