Also, Billy Joel may be the greatest lyricist alive.
"In every heart, there is a room
A sanctuary safe and warm
To heal the wounds from lovers' past
Until a new one comes along."
How genius is that? Here is my other favorite Joel song.
Hope you're having an excellent Thursday!
I loved Danny Kaye when I was a kid. This movie and Knock On Wood were my faves.

Ah, The Court Jester! Wonderful movie! "The pellet with the poison's in the vessel with the pestle.." is one of those classic lines that everybody knows what you're quoting from and can finish it.
ReplyDeleteA very young and beautiful Glynis Jhns was in tat ad a surprisingly young and beautiful Angela Lansbury too.
My Dad used to brag about having met Danny Kaye once; he was a friend of Dad's boss and had dropped in white in Melbourne. Dad went to the office and - wow, there he was! And the boss introduced him! :-)
