1. I've calmed down from yesterdays craziness. The new plan, which I'm really excited for, is to get a nanny job or something similar in New York for the summer. Something like that. And then the other part of the plan is to apply to graduate school in December, to begin in Fall 2013, and get my MFA. We'll see how that turns out.
2. I'm giving myself a kick in the pants weightloss wise, and no butts about it. (mwa ha!) Going to the gym every day, eating right, and keeping track of it all every day.
3. My room is really clean right now. Just so you all know, because when its clean that's an event. I have piles of books on the floor lining the walls, plus the ones on my shelf. It's beautiful.
4. I want/am going to eventually get this hair-cut. What do y'all think?
5. Going to begin edits on Keeper soon. Hopefully we'll also soon get some breakthroughs on the brainstorming of novel #2.
Whats going on in your life? How are your writing projects coming along?

Since I'm a stylist by trade, make sure whoever cuts it swings the sides for you. It would be adorable on your face.
What's going on my life? let's see...Working for Fantastic Sam's now. No more Great Clips(it wasn't so great the last year I was there). Trying to keep the house and laundry clean...the meals cooked, too. Been writing alot at Starbucks so I can have some peace and since I lost my office to my daughter again. The beta-readers have my novel Secondhand Shoes before it goes off to the editor. And writing the second book, by hand, to Seconhand Shoes.
It is the picture that caught my attention for this post. It is reminding me to think about what will catch my readers' attention. Thanks for the inspiration!!
You crack me up Sarah! I'm excited for you, for how many possibilities you have at this time in your life. Good luck with the edits and the hair.
Love the haircut.
Good luck with your weight loss. I'm trying to get serious about it as well and am eating smaller portions and exercising more.
I'm digging your blog! I read your "About Me" section & got the giggles; you're really funny.
Good luck with your writing! Also, I like the hairstyle idea. That's a bold cut!
P.S.- Thanks for stopping by my blog a couple of days ago. I'm a new follower! =D

Oh man I did the Louise Brooks thing for a while--it was awesome--totally get the haircut. It's a little awkward growing out but not too much.
Fortuately, no haircut since I got no hair.
Not doing much in the way of writing as pressing family issues have basically squashed the creativity bug.
But I did have another publisher request the full manuscript of my novel, so I'm pretty psyched about that.
I was doing great with healthy eating and then...
...the holidays. I'm trying to find my way back to a fiber and veggies regime. Fab haircut. Go for it.
Are you planning to apply to MFA programs in NYC? I highly recommend the New School MFA program. They have a Writing for Children concentration and it was wonderful! Feel free to email me if you have any questions, if you decide to apply there. :)
