I'm reading The Princess and the Goblin by George MacDonald. I picked it up because I'm a huge C.S. Lewis fan, in case you couldn't tell, and he called MacDonald his literary "master".
I;m reading "Mad Ship" by Robin Hobb and "Game of Thrones" by George R.R. Martin. I'm reading "Game of Thrones" because I got hooked on the tv show an was thoroughly devastated when its first season had only 10 episodes in it! I got hooked on the "Mad Ship" trilogy years ago. I'd passed the series on the shelf at the library time and again, and finally I picked them up and read them, ad I LOVED them! Now I'm re-reading them yet again! :D
Just finished reading a great noir fiction anthology called "Noir at the Bar". Not for the fainthearted or people who don't like their fiction gritty and real.
I am reading "The Thorn Birds" by Colleen McCullough. A friend lent it to me and said it was a good read. I haven't gotten too far into it but so far so good.
I read the 2nd of the Dragon Tattoo series but before that The Anthologist by Nicholson Baker. An absolute pleasure, especially if you are into poetry.

I have very, very fond childhood memories of that book! And the sequels were good too, as I recall.
LOVE this book from way back. One of my childhood favorites.
Now I'm reading Burn Bright.
