Lacie Myers lives in the peaceful countryside of northern California. She enjoys painting, drawing, and writing. She has a Bachelor's Degree in English and is working on a degree in Art Education. She has written several stories for young children, and now she is working on her first young adult novel. She wants to be published someday, and is working to make that happen. This four book series for young adults begins with Goose Girl, a retelling of a German fairy tale. I was enchanted by the first page, and the book became one of my all-time favorites, which means a beautiful hard bound copy stands on my personal bookshelf. This rich and exciting fairy-tale-fantasy is filled with powerful characters, unique adventures, and stunning metaphors.
I became attached to so many of the characters that I ordered the rest of the series in hard copy as they became available -- confident that I would love them as well. Each book focuses on a different character and the development of that character's unique power.
The fourth book in the series, Forest Born, inspired me to paint this:
